ICE FISHING

The highlight for many anglers is that first time out ice fishing. Take the Northern winter and use it for all it is worth. Frozen water and a group of good friends is what it is all about the fish are just the bonus! Temagami is no stranger to those who love the outdoors and like the driven snow ice anglers enjoy our plunging shore lines. Walk or travel to your huts but join us in the lodge at night to share the stories, hot chocolate and bring your cold beer. Perhaps it's the brisk air that hones your appetite and the cold waters that improve their flavour, but fish hauled through the ice seem to taste better than at any other time of year.

Ice fishing will take place on Lake Herridge offering Lake Trout, White Fish, Northern Pike, Walleye & Perch. Further the experience with a trip to one of our remote back lakes (conditions permitting). Ice fishing runs from January 1st to March 31st.

Ice Fishing kept simple. Experience ice fishing here on our main lake or one of our 2 remote lakes. We set up portable ice huts in different areas of our main lake as well on our remote lakes. Bring your own gear and venture out daily to one of the huts. Walk, snowshoe, ski or snowmobile to our huts...transportation can be arranged.

BACK LAKE ADVENTURE

Experience ice fishing on a remote back lake! With our portable Ice Huts we will take you back to one of our remote lakes that have no road access or Cottages on them.

The cottage is equipped with all bedding, pillows, linens, fridge, stove, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, toaster and drip coffee maker. The Main Lodge offers a Large Screen TV, pool table, Pin Ball, Rod Hockey Table and many other games. We sell Tackle, Ice & simple personal items at the Lodge. Our Lodge is NOT licensed so please feel free to bring in your own drinks and enjoy.

Our Lodge is located on Herridge Lake, just off Hwy 11, 6 miles south of Temagami and 54 miles north of North Bay. Temagami, a village which is 6 miles from our Lodge, offers a few restaurants, grocery store, liquor-beer store, tackle and convenience store, a Post Office, One Stop Trading Post and Northland Traders (clothing and souvenirs), a gas station with Subway Sandwiches and Country Style Donuts, a Laundromat, mini golf and skateboard park. There is Ambulance Service in Temagami and Hospitals in both New Liskeard and North Bay. Cell phones do work here, depending on the carrier.

There are major shopping centres in New Liskeard (40 miles north) and North Bay (60 miles south) i.e. Walmart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire and Sears just to name a few. There you will also find McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Kelsey’s and other family chain restaurants. There are golf courses in both New Liskeard and North Bay.

Our Lodge appeals to those who enjoy uncrowded fishing, where you may be the only hut on the lake. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and an experience to remember.

All prices quoted in Canadian Funds and are subject to change. Sales Taxes and required licenses are not included in rates.

Deposits of 20 % are required to reserve as well as a valid credit card. We require a 8 week notice for cancellation. Any cancellation less then 8 weeks will be charged full amount owing unless we fill the cancellation space and then previous deposit will be kept as an administration fee.
